Garda Restaurants
Italians love to make and eat high quality food and, given the popularity of the Lake Garda region with Italians themselves, you shouldn't have any trouble when you come to look for Garda restaurants.

If you've not eaten out in Italy then you may find that the menu looks a little confusing when you first sit down, although many restaurants in the area do offer English versions of the menu.
The traditional Italian menu is divided into five dishes, although it's not necessarily expected that you should eat all five!
The five are:
Primo (first course) - this usually consists of pasta, risotto or soup. Risotto is particularly popular in the Lake Garda area of Italy. Those unfamiliar with traditional Italian cooking may find that Italian cooks tend to have more pasta and less sauce than would be expected.
Secondo (second course) - the second course would usually consist of either meat or fish. If you have the good fortune to be in the region around Easter then be sure to try the excellent lamb dishes that will be on offer. The secondo does not have a side order included as standard.
Contorni (side dish) - you would more often than not order a side dish with your secondo. Typically, this would be either salad, potato or vegetable-based.
Dolce (dessert) - Italian desserts are rightly known for their quality, from beautiful ice creams to the world-renowned tiramisu.
Drinks - you will usually be offered coffee after your meal but it's usual to also have something to drink with your meal. Wine (vino) and mineral water (acqua minerale) are popular choices as an accompaniment for many.
